ISDH: Indiana surpasses 12,000 positive cases; 630 Hoosiers have died

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana State Department of Health says the state now has more than 12,000 positive cases of COVID-19, resulting in more than 600 deaths.

ISDH says that 12,097 Hoosiers have tested positive, resulting in 630 deaths. A total of 67,264 tests have been conducted.

Officials in Indiana are not yet providing information on recoveries. Dr. Kris Box has said that information will be available as soon as medical codes are created that will offer COVID-19 recovery information, which the state does not currently have.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 2,501,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 659,000 recoveries and more than 171,000 deaths.
