Indiana Silver Alert canceled for 59-year-old missing from Hammond

HAMMOND, Ind. (WISH) — An Indiana Silver Alert was issued Wednesday night for a 59-year-old woman missing from Hammond.
Valerie Jones is believed to be in danger and may require medical assistance, the Hammond Police Department says. She was last seen at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the northwest Indiana city about 160 miles northwest of Indianapolis, the Silver Alert says.
Jones was described as 5-feet-8 and 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, a black coat and black leggings, and was driving a gray 2013 Nissan Rogue sport-utility vehicle with Indiana registration RHC564.
