IU suspends travel to China for faculty, staff and students as coronavirus outbreak spreads
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) — Indiana University has suspended travel to China for faculty, staff and students as the outbreak of the coronavirus spreads.
According to a public safety advisory issued by the university, the restrictions were implemented to align with the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the US State Department.
The university will grant exceptions for humanitarian reasons for people traveling to countries to assist with the pandemic response. If you are a faculty or staff member who is returning from China, you are asked to contact AVPpsia@IU.edu
The restrictions are effective immediately.
The university said the largest health concern on campus is influenza.
