Police investigate fatal crash in Fort Wayne, kills 1

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WISH) — One woman is dead after crashing into a trailer early Friday morning in Fort Wayne, police say.

Officers from the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash involving an injured person just before 9:20 a.m. in the 6100 block of Decatur Road.

Police say the woman driving the black passenger car crashed into a black trailer on private property. The woman was found dead in the driver’s seat.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the crash happened shortly after midnight Friday, according to a release.

The identity of the woman has not been released and the crash remains under investigation.
