Southwestern Indiana woman charged with child neglect, battery

SULLIVAN, Ind. (WISH) — A southwestern Indiana woman has been arrested and faces two charges in a child neglect case, the Indiana State Police said Tuesday.
Jennifer Ballard, 30, of Sullivan, has been charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury and domestic battery on a person less than 14 years old.
Police did not disclose when the incident took place.
According to police, a warrant was issued for Ballard’s arrest on July 29. She was arrested by Sullivan County law enforcement Monday.
Ballard is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 26.
