Greenlight Guru partners with cybersecurity firm

INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Indianapolis-based Greenlight Guru has announced a strategic partnership with a healthcare cybersecurity developer in California. Greenlight Guru, which has developed a medical device quality management software platform, says the partnership with MedCrypt will help medical device manufacturers increase the security of their technologies.

The companies have inked a mutual referral agreement, in which each company will refer prospective clients to the other and co-market their respective software platforms. Greenlight Guru Chief Executive Officer David DeRam says the partnership will ultimately help companies get their medical devices to market faster and with less risk.

“Cybersecurity is an ever-evolving discipline, and as we’ve seen in recent healthcare-related cyberattacks, cybercriminals are constantly working to find exploitable weaknesses that disrupt the focus on patient care and safety. Now more than ever, medical device manufacturers need comprehensive guidance, quality management, and technical solutions to address the pre- and post-market guidelines from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration,” said Mike Kijewski, CEO of MedCrypt. “Our partnership with Greenlight Guru allows us to expand our reach and help more companies arm themselves with security features, eQMS solutions, and educational tools that will increase the security posture of the industry as a whole.”

The companies did not specify if the agreement comes with any financial obligations.
