Jogger sexually assaulted on Clear Creek Trail

MONROE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A woman said she was sexually assaulted while jogging on Clear Creek Trail near Bloomington.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said it searched the area near the southwest side of Bloomington Friday morning.

MCPO said it occurred around 7:20 p.m. between Tapp Road and Rockport Road.

The victim said she was jogging when a man she didn’t know came from behind her, took her off the trail and sexually assaulted her. He fled the scene afterwards. The victim reported the attack from a residence.

A suspect description has not been provided.
