1 in critical condition after Tuesday morning shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person is in critical condition after a Tuesday morning shooting, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
According to IMPD, the shooting happened around 12:30 a.m.
Police say the male victim who was shot was part of a drug deal.
The victim, who was shot in the torso, was able to drive himself to the area of 71st Street and Georgetown Road on the northwest side. It was there that a friend of the victim called for an ambulance.
The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The exact location where the shooting took place is unknown at this this time.
Police have not released any suspect information.
