Carmel gym prepares to reopen Saturday

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) – Many gyms across the state are working hard to reopen with restrictions. Gyms fall under Stage Three of Governor Holcomb’s five-stage plan. 

News 8 reached out to both small, locally-owned gyms and big-chain facilities in central Indiana. Most said they weren’t ready to open Friday and are hoping to reopen by the end of the weekend or early next week. 

F45 West Carmel will be ready for people to come in and work out on Saturday. 

Things will look different, though. Class sizes will be much smaller and spaced out so there is time for cleaning in between. 

Owners Jason and Lori Upton are also handing every member a spray bottle for cleaning their own space between workouts. 

The Uptons are asking people to bring two towels in with them. One towel for personal use and the other one for wiping down their space.
