GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) — A central Indiana brewery has re-invented its business to help keep Hoosiers safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

Hoosier Brewing Company in greenwood is now only making hand sanitizer and are selling it to area businesses.

The company is using profits from those sales to donate hand sanitizer to first responders. They are making around 100 gallons a day to be donated.

On Wednesday, the company dropped off gallons of it with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

“I had the epiphany… If we can save one life, it’s worth it, ” said Brian Nentrup. “And on top of that, the benefit of my employees not only staying engaged and having a job but we’re pushing them for overtime because the need and demand is just so high right now to take care of to take care of our community that I’ve got to have them in motion.”

Hoosier Brewing Company is also planning to make hand sanitizer available to the general public for free.
