Hoosier Park, Indiana Grand to resume gaming operations Monday

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino and Indiana Grand Racing & Casino are set to resume gaming operations Monday.

According to a press release sent to News 8, the casinos will reopen at 6 a.m. Monday in accordance with directives form the Indiana Gaming Commission and the Indiana State Department of Health.

Both locations previously announced the Indiana Horse Racing Commission approved the start of live racing. Indiana Grand’s first card will begin Monday and Harrah’s Hoosier Park’s first card is slated for Tuesday. The races will be held without spectators.

Casino gaming will be operating at reduced capacity for both facilities. Slot machines will be arranged to allow for social distancing and table games will be offered as non-smoking and with limited seating.

Guests at table games are required to wear masks.

Sports books, buffets and VIP lounges will remain closed until further notice.

Team members will be required to wear masks and their temperatures will be checked daily. Guests will also have their temperatures checked at each entrance and are encouraged to wear masks. Masks will be available upon arrival.
