Kids learn about Hispanic heritage at Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — Dozens of children got to learn all about Hispanic culture while staying safe Sunday.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis hosted “Fiesta de la Familia.”

It’s a part of the museum’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Families spent the day listening to live music and were able to create art seen in Hispanic culture.

“We love having our visitors in the building,” said Melissa Trumpey with the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “It’s what gives us energy and sustains us…and we love to see them. It is so important to a variety of cultures and the diversity we have in our city and our world and we’re pleased today to be part of Hispanic Heritage Month.”

Museum officials want people to continue coming out, but to do it safely.
