INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – While the majority of the state of Indiana has started reopening, several counties in that state remain under a stay-at-home order.

Marion County is one of those counties with their stay at home order remaining in effect until May 15.

On Wednesday morning, Mayor Hogsett and a number of Marion County officials provided an update on the situation.

Hogsett stressed the importance of adhering to the order to combat the virus.

A “blueprint” for opening up Marion County will be rolled out next week and it’s expected to look similar to the one from the state of Indiana.

Also, IMPD Chief Taylor said his department is prepared to begin writing tickets for those who gather in large groups.

Additionally, churches in Marion County are also being advised to continue holding services online through the weekend.
