The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis shares virtual Easter activity ideas
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Spending Easter Sunday on lockdown doesn’t have to mean less holiday fun for kids and families.
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis has central Indiana families covered with virtual Easter activities.
“Everyone is missing their jobs and being at the museum in the traditional sense, interacting with visitors. This is a way for us to do that,” said Jennifer Holland who runs digital communications at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
Holland says the museum first came up with the idea of a virtual Easter egg hunt, but then the list of activities grew from there.
- Go on a virtual egg hunt in The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis
- Decorate your home with DIY flowers
- Learn how to safely catch a falling egg
- Make sidewalk chalk out of eggshells
- Download and color a Bunnysaurus Rex coloring sheet or color your own bunny ears
The museum says while they are normally closed on Easter Sunday, they want families to know the museum is still here for them.
“This is just a really difficult time right now on so many levels. Parents have to be educators and have to work from home. We feel it’s important for us to continue offering family learning moments and opportunities during these times,” said Holland.
You can share your virtual Easter fun with the museum on social media using the hashtag #TCMatHome.
