Train, dump truck accident closed road NE of Indianapolis in McCordsville

McCORDSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — An accident involving a train and a dump truck closed U.S. 36/State Road 67 for about two hours Friday in this northwestern Hancock County town.

Hancock County 911 said in a tweet about 2:50 p.m. Friday that no one was seriously injured in the accident, but provided no additional details. The railroad crossing is north of the intersection of County Road 600 West and Broadway in McCordsville.

The road reopened about 4:30 p.m.

McCordsville is a town of about 7,700 just across the border on Indianapolis’ northeast side.
