WGU Indiana giving back to health care workers

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Western Governors University of Indiana (WGU) is putting together appreciation kits for health care workers across the state.

Essentially, the online college is handing out care packages containing WGU-branded eye masks, lip balm, chocolate, mints, coffee pods and much more.

It will take place at WGU of Indiana’s Office in downtown on Wednesday at 9 a.m.

The packages will be for health care professionals who work the night shift and have to work an extra hour due to Daylight Saving Time ending on Nov. 7.

This initiative has been going on for years and it comes as health care professionals continue to feel the emotional and physical toll from the COVID-19 pandemic.

WGU of Indiana said the kits are a small way of letting workers know they aren’t forgotten and are appreciated.
