Wild Blackberry Farms hosting first blackberry festival
FORTVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – Wild Blackberry Farms is hosting its first blackberry festival on Saturday from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
The festival will have something for the entire family, including you-pick blackberries, food trucks, lawn games, petting zoos and face painting for kids.
Wild Blackberry Farms co-owner Jennifer Rhodes told News 8 the event is sold out. They are expecting 3,000 people to attend throughout the day.
Families can purchase blackberry honey from bees at Wild Blackberry Farms, as well as jams, pies, local wines, sours and whiskey smashes.
Local businesses in attendance include Open Coffee, FoxGardin, Three Dolls Bakery, Grammy Rhodes’ famous blackberry cobbler and Libby’s Ice Cream.
There will also be live music from local bands and a “do it yourself” flower bar for making a bouquet to take home.
