Man dies after Fort Wayne road rage incident

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A man died following a fight on US 30 Wednesday evening. Fort Wayne Police were called to the area of eastbound US 30 at the US 33 Interchange around 5:30 p.m.

Authorities said a man got out of his vehicle and began to hit another driver in a separate vehicle. The suspect got back into his car and drove away.

When medics arrived, they found the victim in serious condition. He was downgraded to critical condition before police left the area. By the time the man arrived at the hospital, paramedics pronounced him dead. 

Police could not provide a description of the suspect or what vehicle the man was driving. 

Detectives were speaking with witnesses to get more information.
