Man hit by semi while walking on I-69 in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man died after walking into the path of a semi on I-69 in Indianapolis early Saturday morning.

Indiana State Police say 30-year-old Duane Costelow II of Indianapolis walked in front of a northbound semi on I-69 near 82nd Street in Castleton.

Costelow died of his injuries. The semi driver, 29-year-old Kyle Albertson of Plainfield, was not injured.

Investigators are trying to determine why Costelow walked onto the interstate. There were no disabled vehicles found in the area.
