Man receives 12 year sentence after plea agreement in deadly prostitution deal

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man has been sentenced as part of a plea agreement in a case involving a prostitution deal turned deadly.

Demarcus Poole accepted a plea and will serve 12 years in prison.

According to IMPD, a man answered a seductive online ad, but was instead robbed at gunpoint by Poole. The victim left, but returned with his friend, 18-year-old Oscar Gonzalez.

A confrontation ensued and shots were fired. Poole was struck multiple times. Gonzalez was struck in the back and later died from his injuries.
