Mild temperatures to close out the weekend.
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A nearly 60° swing from Wednesday morning to Sunday afternoon.
Today:
Some patchy light fog has developed across portions of central Indiana. We’ll likely see this trend hang around through at least mid morning, before lifting and leaving us with a beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon. Highs should top out in the lower to middle 50s.
Tonight:
No major issues this evening. Expect partly cloudy skies with lows in the middle 40s.
Monday:
A mix of sun and clouds to kick off the day. A cold front swinging through the state will spark numerous light rain showers across the area for the late morning and afternoon hours.
Highs hit the middle 50s.
Tuesday:
Dry, but cooler day across the area. Partly cloudy with highs in the lower 40s.
8 day forecast:
Busy pattern for the mid week. Two systems take aim on the state for Wednesday and Thursday. Some signals that a brief period of freezing rain will be possible for some of our northern counties early Wednesday morning, before makig the switch to all rain for the remainder of the day.
More rain on tap for Thursday. Wouldn’t be shocked to hear a rumble of thunder or two as well.
Temperatures will remain well above average for much of the work week. Thursday’s cold front will usher in colder temperatures for the end of the week, as highs tumble to the 30s for Friday into the weekend.
