Officials breach home, end standoff on city’s near east side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A standoff that stemmed from a police chase on the city’s near east side appears to have ended.
There was an attempted traffic stop around 1 a.m., when a suspect bailed out of a car and into a home on 19th Street and Brookside Parkway with a handgun on his person.
It is believed that the suspect was let inside the home and did not intrude.
Police later rushed the home and detained two male suspects sometime after 4:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
