One in serious condition after being shot in abdomen

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person is in serious condition after a shooting in which they were shot in the abdomen.

According to police, one individual was shot in the area near 10th Street and Sharon Avenue around 1:15 Sunday morning.

Police go on to say that after arriving on scene, they discovered a Chrysler 300 blocking the westbound lane of 10th Street with both passenger side tires blown. Blood was also found in the car.

The individual who was shot in the abdomen had ran to a residence North Holmes Avenue where police were called.  This person also claimed to be connected to the abandoned vehicle.

Two other people who were involved in the shooting later showed up to the scene.  One of those two individuals was found to have been shot in the hand.

All three involved in the shooting gave police differing stories.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
