Powerball prize climbs to a record $800 million
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Powerball jackpot has climbed to the biggest prize in history – $800 million. Friday, you could get the chance to win that jackpot for free.
The Hoosier Lottery is giving out 200 free tickets in several locations around central Indiana.
- 8 a.m. EST Kroger at 11101 Pendleton Pike in Indianapolis
- Noon EST Kroger at 1330 W. Southport Rd. in Indianapolis
- 5 p.m. EST Marsh at 5624 Georgetown Rd. in Indianapolis
Lots of people in Indianapolis are catching Powerball fever as the jackpot grows bigger and bigger. The jackpot could be worth even more money before the drawing on Saturday night, if more people buy tickets.

Odds of winning are pretty small. Experts say you have a 1 in 292 million chance at winning the jackpot.
The drawing is Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. You have until 10 Saturday night to get your ticket.
