Report: Tim Tebow to sign with Eagles
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH/AP) — After Tim Tebow’s release from the New England Patriots in 2013 he vowed to return to the game of football.
According to reports from ESPN, the former quarterback for the Broncos and Jets plans to sign a one year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Tebow hasn’t played in the NFL since 2012 with the New York Jets. He was released by the New England Patriots before the 2013 season.
The former Heisman Trophy winner was a first-round pick by Denver in 2010. He started 14 games for the Broncos and led them to a playoff victory in the 2011 season.
Philadelphia will start the season with three first round pick quarterbacks, including Matt Barkley, Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez.
Sanchez and Tebow both played for the Jets.
