Sanders opens Indianapolis campaign office
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has opened a campaign office in central Indiana.
He’s the first presidential candidate to open an office in the region.
It’s located in the 6300 block of Guilford Avenue in Broad Ripple. A kick off party was held Saturday afternoon.
Campaign officials say they will use the office to help connect with potential voters, organize meetings and canvas neighborhoods.
There’s no word yet on whether Sanders plans to visit the new office.
Hillary Clinton doesn’t have an office in central Indiana, but she did visit Indianapolis for a fundraiser last summer.
The Indiana primary is May 3.
