Sunshine isn’t going to help us warm up
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We’ll have a breezy and cool start to the day this morning, with temperatures feeling like they’re in the single digits. Abundant sunshine will remain with us during the day, but it will not help us warm up past freezing.
Highs in the state range from the low 30s to 40s, with the warmest spots on the map south of the metro. Overnight, we’ll stay quiet with lows near 18° with mostly cloudy skies.
Temperatures tomorrow return to the seasonal average for this time of year. Highs in the metro tomorrow will sit at 42°, with areas north feeling much cooler. Overnight tomorrow, we’ll remain dry and stick near freezing in most locations.
A quiet start to the week will abruptly end by Wednesday and into Thursday. Chances for mixed precipitation and a slight warm-up come mid-week. By the tail-end of the weekend temperatures plummet into the upper teens and mid-20s.
