Woman ran over 2 times after bar fight

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A woman was sent to the hospital after she was struck by an SUV that left the scene.

Police say the female was involved in an argument with 23-year-old Ciera Riley inside the bar near East 21st Street and Franklin Road on the city’s east side.

According to police, the fight between the two women happened around 12:30 a.m.

During the fight Riley and the victim left the bar. Witnesses at the scene told police that Riley backed out of her parking spot and hit the car behind her, and then struck the victim at least two times before fleeing the scene.

The victim was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition. According to police, the victim said that Riley intentionally ran over her.

Riley was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated battery and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. She was booked in the Marion County Jail.
