Brief return to Winter
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A quick snap back to very chilly conditions to start the week. A quick climb is in the works over the next few days.
Monday:
Very chilly temperatures for the day. With a strong area of low pressure spinning to our north, gusty winds will make it feel even colder. Some scattered light rain showers could mix with snow at times. No accumulation is expected. Highs top out in the mid 40s.
Monday night:
Winds will ease up, and skies should clear overnight. Lows fall to the lower/middle 30s.
Tuesday/Wednesday:
A quick warm up on the way for the mid-week. Dry air settles in leaving us sunny and mild. Highs in the low/mid 60s Tuesday and mid 70s on Wednesday:
Late week rain:
Another potent system moves in late week, bringing a chance for showers and storms, starting Thursday night. A cold front will swing through Friday bringing rounds of showers and storms. Another system will roll in on Saturday, bringing more widespread showers. Much cooler temps settle back in after the Friday cold front.
8 day forecast:
We will hit our peak by mid week, and fall back temperature wise as we close into the weekend. Along with rain chances, expect some gusty winds for the start of the weekend, too.
