Severe Storms Possible Monday
Our Summer-like weekend wraps up and we are headed into a changeable weather pattern for a couple days. those changes include the possibility of some severe storms Monday afternoon and Monday Evening. Keep the StormTrack8 Weather App handy because we will be updating throughout the day.
Tonight – Partly cloudy and very warm for this time in October. Low 69.
Monday – The days starts sunny and gets very warm again by afternoon. High 83. But anytime after mid afternoon, showers and thunderstorms will develop. Some of those storms could be severe with damaging winds.
Tuesday – The weather pattern calms down and cools down a little bit. Expect partly cloudy skies and a high about 74.
While the radar is all quiet over Indiana and our surrounding state, storms beginning to move through the southern plains will be moving northeast Monday.
It will be another summer-like day to start on Monday. We reach 83 early afternoon and then storms are possible late afternoon.
Considering the average high temperatures is only 69, we will be 10-15 degrees above average again.
FutureCast indicates that by 5:00pm Monday storms will be moving through western Indiana.
According to the Storm Prediction Center there is a slight risk for severe storms in the yellow area including much of Indiana. It appears the greatest risk is for damaging winds from the storms.
