A Tornado Watch is in effect for Northwest Indiana until 8:00 PM. This means conditions are favorable for damaging winds, hail and possible tornadoes. The area of concern is northwest of a line from Lafayette to Logansport. Central Indiana is not included in the Tornado Watch at this time.
WISH TV StormTrack 8 will be monitoring these storms through the evening. Updates on WISHTV.COM, Facebook WISHTV and Twitter @StormTrack8 and @DJamesWX
StormTracker radar indicates the storms moving Northeast at 25-30 MPH.
FutureCast indicates the storms will be moving northeast and weaken over time. By midnight tonight, just a few scattered lighter showers are forecast for Northwest Indiana.
Any outdoor plans look dry in Central India this evening. Scattered showers are possible after 2:00 AM. However, the air is still tropical and does not cool off much tonight.
