Fantastic warm air continues

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — What a beautiful start to the workweek we had! We had our warmest air of the year push in thanks to a breeze out of the south with plentiful sunshine.

Monday night: After a marvelous afternoon, we will keep the breezy winds around as a mild night is ahead. Lows will only dip into the low to mid 50s.

Tuesday: Another amazing and dry afternoon is on the way for our Tuesday. Breezy winds and abundant sunshine will give way for highs to top out in the upper 70s to low 80s. Overall, Tuesday will be the best weather day of the week.

Wednesday: Clouds and winds will increase throughout our Wednesday. This will lead way for returning rain chances with isolated showers possible late Wednesday morning and into the afternoon hours.

Highs will rise into the upper 70s. It will not be a surprise to see some locations hit the low 80s.

8 Day Forecast: Rain chances will increase Wednesday night with the possibility of isolated storms. The active pattern will continue through our Thursday and Friday. At this time, no severe weather is expected for Thursday, but this could potentially change down the line. As this system moves through the state, a weak cooldown will take place with highs only topping out in the upper 60s for the weekend. Even with this slightly cooler air, temperatures will remain above average through the extended forecast.
