Very cold to start this weekend, nice warmup to follow

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We’re looking at the coldest day of the month to arrive for our Saturday before we get rewarded with a nice warming trend going into next week.

Friday night: Expect a much colder night with breezy winds sticking around. Lows will drop into the low 20s with feels like temperatures in the single digits by Saturday morning.

Saturday: We’re in for one of those days that showcases a good excuse to stay indoors on Saturday. Temperatures are going to have a hard time getting into the low 30s due to lots of cloud cover and breezy winds out of the northwest. Wind gusts will also be up to 30-35 MPH at times. There will also be scattered light snow showers/flurries throughout our Saturday as well for much of central Indiana.

Sunday: Conditions will calm down a bit for Sunday as we bring in more sunshine and lighter winds. We’ll also begin to warm back up with temperatures rising into the upper 30s.

8-Day Forecast: We will continue our warmup into next week with highs quickly returning into the 50s Tuesday. Then, we’re back into the 60s by next Thursday. However, this warmer air will precede another weather system that will bring additional chances for rain in the second half of next week.
