Adult bleacher brawl cuts kid’s basketball game short

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A basketball championship held at Westlane Middle School was cut short on Thursday after players’ parents started brawling.

According to Washington Township School Superintendent Dr. Nikki Woodson, the eighth grade championship game between Westlane Middle School and Creston Middle School was stopped with four minutes on the clock when adults sitting in the bleachers began arguing.

The argument quickly transformed into a physical altercation, cancelling the final portion of the basketball game.

Police were called to the scene when a Washington Township administrator was hurt while trying to break up the fight.

Police are still investigating this incident.
