One in custody following Monticello bank robbery

MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) – Law enforcement have one in custody, and said the investigation continues after a Wednesday morning robbery in White County, Ind.

The White County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, the Monticello and Monon police departments are on the scene of a robbery reported at 9:15 a.m. at Wells Fargo bank, 1000 Main St., in Monticello.

Authorities told 24- Hour News 8’s sister station WLFI-TV one man was caught as he was fleeing the scene.

A witness reports that the man did get away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
