Pence eats at Chili’s in NY, Twitter erupts
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Shortly after being officially introduced as Donald Trump’s running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence was trending on Twitter — but it had nothing to do with politics.
Pence posted a photo of his family eating at a Chili’s restaurant in New York, prompting a storm of tweets.
Many criticized the governor’s choice of dining establishment, while others couldn’t resist cracking a joke about the situation. Chili’s even issued a tweet in response.
