Contest allows students opportunity to create, learn and earn

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Students in Indiana have a chance to be creative, and inventive through a new hands-on contest.

Steve Van Dinter from Verizon stopped by Daybreak to talk about the app-creating contest.

He also discussed the skills necessary in order to compete in the challenge and  last year’s winning about from Zionsville Community High School

Up to 102 teams of students can win free tablets through the Verizon app challenge.

The deadline for submission to the contest is November 18 with winners to be named in January and February 2017.
