Lafayette man charged with kidnapping, rape arrested months later

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – A Lafayette man is arrested for a kidnapping and rape two months after charges were filed against him.

Twenty-eight-year-old Henry Williams was taken into custody Friday on charges including rape and kidnapping.

Court documents say in November 2015, the victim told investigators she was heading into a local restaurant, when two men offered to give her a ride. Instead, the victim says they took her to an apartment on Rockingham Lane and raped her repeatedly.

The men then got back in the truck with the victim, saying they were going to drop her off. She says instead, they pulled into a field and assaulted her again.

The victim says one of the men threatened to kill her family if she told anyone what happened.

Williams is in the Tippecanoe County Jail on $150,000 bond.
