Carmel native Rajeev Ram talks experience of winning first career Grand Slam
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A Carmel native made international headlines recently with a big win at the Austrailian Open.
Rajeev Ram picked up his first Grand Slam championship in mixed doubles.
Ram stopped by Daybreak Thursday to talk about his recent win and his journey in professional tennis.
On his way to winning his first Grand Slam, Ram said “it took me a while, but it’s probably sweeter because of it.”
He also discussed being paired with the no. 1 women’s doubles player Barbora Krejcikova.
Additionally, he talked about his charity, EntouRaj for Kids, which teaches kids what it takes to not only win at tennis, but in life.
