INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles announced Tuesday that they will extend branch hours on Nov. 6 and 7.

According to a release, the reason behind this is to be open to issuing ID Cards and driver’s licenses to be used for identification at polling places.

Branches on Nov. 6 will be open from 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m., and 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on Nov. 7. Branches will resume regular business hours on Nov. 8.

Branches not holding elections will resume normal business hours such as:

  • LaGrange
  • Liberty
  • Morocco
  • Rockville
  • Williamsport
  • Winamac

Branches come election day will prioritize transactions that include new, amended, renewed, or replacement identification cards, learner’s permits, driver’s licenses, and CDLs that don’t require testing.

Those with a driver’s license that expired after the last general election, according to the BMV, may use the expired card as proof of identification for voting purposes.
