Woman dead following crash in Carmel
CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) — A woman died following a crash in Carmel early Sunday morning.
Authorities said it happened just before 3 a.m. on 96th Street between Gray Road and Randall Drive.
Carmel police say 44-year-old Monica Davila pulled in front of an F-150 truck driven by 24-year-old Hernan J. Rodriguez. Rodriguez faces one count of OWI Endangering a Person and a count of OWI of an accident causing death.
Officials said that they could smell alcohol in both the vehicles, but believe broken bottles were the source of the smell in the woman’s car.
Authorities were on scene nearly four hours investigating the crash.
