1 killed, 1 hospitalized after northwest side shootings

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person is dead and another is in the hospital following two shootings on the city’s northwest side Tuesday evening.

Police have identified the man killed as 22-year-old Devin White.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, they initially responded to the area of West 30th Street and Cold Spring Road just after 7:30 for a person shot. Officers later learned that someone had walked into IU Health United Methodist Hospital with a gunshot wound. His injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

The around 8 p.m., a man was found lying in the middle of the street in the 2900 block of North Warman Avenue. That individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe both shootings are related, but are not sure yet what lead up to the shootings.

Police say no arrest has been made and no other information is currently available.
