Rolls Royce secures military contract
INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Indianapolis-based Rolls Royce Corp. has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Department of Defense for work to be done in Indianapolis and Japan.
The over $14 million agreement includes maintenance work on engines and parts. The order also calls for Japan Ground Self-Defense Force training, along with engineering, logistics analysis and overhaul facility support for the Japanese government.
The work is expected to be complete by June 2023. The Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland is the contracting activity.
