Indianapolis man, 21, arrested for rape

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – An Indianapolis man has been arrested for rape, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
Brandon Hargis, 21, has been taken into custody for a Dec. 24, 2019 rape in Johnson County.
According to JSCO, on Dec. 28, deputies responded to the Greenwood Police Department for a report of a sexual assault.
The victim told deputies that on Dec. 24, she was raped during a Christmas party in Greenwood.
Deputies said the victim said Hargis sexually assaulted her.
During a January 8 interview with deputies, Hargis said that he and the victim did have sex but said it was consensual.
