Muncie beauty school offering transfers to students affected by Regency Beauty Institute campus closures

MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) – After the recent closure of Regency Beauty Institute’s nationwide, Amber’s Beauty School is extending transfer options to Indiana students affected.

“Where we do understand the difficulties involved in operating a successful cosmetology school in today’s world, our hearts really go out to students, parents and staff affected by the abrupt closure of Regency. This is an unfortunate situation for many and we want to help” said Brian Shrieve, Amber’s Beauty School’s President/CEO. “We hope our transfer program, affordable tuition and central location will be a great resource for displaced students looking to continue their career plans in cosmetology.”

Amber’s Beauty School is near the Ball State University campus in Muncie.

Students wanting to transfer  from Regency Beauty Institute must obtain an official transcript of hours, progress and testing in order to be given proper credit.

According to a release, once the transcript is received, the student must make an appointment to visit Amber’s Beauty School to fill out a transfer application.

The transferring students will pay tutition at an hourly rate for the remainder of the hours required by the Indiana Cosmetology Board.

In addition, transfer students must also have or purchase the equipment kit and text books.
