Colts All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard joins News 8 sports team
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Colts All-Pro Linebacker Darius Leonard will be a part of the News 8 sports team for Colts coverage during the 2020 season.
Leonard will join News 8 Sports Director Anthony Calhoun at 10:15 p.m. each Sunday this season as Colts player analyst.
In 2018, his rookie season, “The Maniac” was named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and an All-Pro Linebacker. In 2019, he was selected to the Pro Bowl while compiling 121 tackles and a team-high five interceptions.
Leonard, is a fan favorite and Head Coach Frank Reich recently spoke highly of his leadership qualities heading into their third season together. “Darius leads by example with the juice he has. We talk about it all the time. He ’emanates,’ if that’s the right word. It just flows out of him. It’s authentic, it’s genuine, and everybody knows that about Darius.”
