Donald Trump, Gov. Pence speak at rally in Westfield
WESTFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — Donald Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, spent Tuesday evening in Westfield.
Trump spoke at a rally in the Grand Park Events Center in Westfield.
But before Trump took the stage in Westfield, Indiana Governor Mike Pence introduced the presumptive GOP nominee.
During his opening remarks, Pence said Trump is needed in the Oval Office.
“We are ready to put a builder, a fighter and a patriot in the Oval Office of the United States of America. We are ready for Donald Trump to be out next president,” Pence said.
After Trump took the stage, he hit on a number of topics including last week’s shootings across the country, Hillary Clinton’s recent email scandal, and immigration
Pence’s name has been included in rumors of Trump’s VP pick.
The Washington Times recently reported that there is a strong chance that Trump chooses Pence to run with him.
When it came to the topic of Pence being named the vice presidential nominee, Trump indicated that the decision has not been made as of yet.
“I’m gonna call up your governor. Is he gonna be your governor or your vice president? Who the hell knows,” Trump said.
A decision could come by the end of the week.
