2 killed in Delaware County single-vehicle crash
DALEVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – Two people were killed in a Thursday morning crash in Delaware County, according to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to State Road 32 and County Road 400 South around 12:30 a.m. for a report of a crash. That’s near the northeast border of Daleville.
A 2010 red Dodge Avenger was traveling westbound on State Road 32 when it slid off the road and struck a tree.
The sheriff’s office says 28-year-old Jerome Thompson and 22-year-old China Shouse were killed. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two back-seat passengers, a 1-year-old boy and a 1-month-old girl, were taken to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.
Deputies say speed and rain on the roads were contributing factors in the deadly crash.
