1 in serious condition following crash on interstate

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)  – One person was transported to the hospital in serious condition following Wednesday morning crash on the interstate, according to the Indiana State Police.

Authorities say the crash happened on the ramp from I-70 WB right before it merges with I-65 SB just before 4 a.m when a box truck rear-ended a semi.

The 70=year-old male driver of the box truck was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Cleanup had momentarily shut down lanes in the area.

There was no word on any other injuries involved in the crash.
