INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man is dead after a shooting Wednesday afternoon on the city’s near north side.
Just before 12:30 p.m., an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer was flagged down by a person reporting that a man was shot in the 3300 block of North Meridian Street. That is located less than a mile northeast of The Children’s Museum.

Police did not provide information on a possible suspect or what led to the shooting.
The Marion County Coroner will release the identity of the man fatally shot once his family has been notified.
